Professional training and personal experiences have been the building blocks of my work ethics and massage practice. Ten years of providing massage, has allowed me a broader understanding of my clients and their conditions. As an LST, I draw from my extensive training in human anatomy, physiology and various sports and massage techniques.
I have previously served as a combat medic in the United States Army and am proficient at addressing acute injuries stemming from auto accidents and chronic pain resulting from long term misalignment. In addition, I've worked with many athletes and the multitude of injuries they present. My path in the health care field has been an exciting journey, and I feel very fortunate it has led me to a holistic world of Sports Massage Therapy & Rehabilitation.
My clients benefit from my functional approach. For example, my massage sessions typically include active and passive stretching if needed, exercise instruction and a discussion of the importance of nutritional support. The therapeutic modalities I specialize in include Sports Massage, Deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, Sensual or Light massage, and Lymphatic circulation.
As a practitioner my strength is listening to the client. My skill as a massage therapist lies in intuitive ability to focus much needed attention on problem areas while addressing the body as a whole. My style is deep yet gentle enough to promote relaxation while getting to the root of chronic pain with highly effective healing results. My love of the outdoors and personal experience as a 11 year kickboxer, medical caregiver, and prior service active duty veteran allow me to relate to clients at all levels of physical fitness and athletic ability.
